EMS Division

Mission

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division of the Essex County Fire Chiefs Association is dedicated to enhancing the delivery of emergency medical care across the region. Our mission is to support EMS personnel, promote training and education, standardize protocols, and improve health outcomes for the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain county-wide EMS protocols
  • Coordinate continuing education and certification for EMS providers
  • Foster collaboration between fire departments, hospitals, public health agencies, and other private health partners
  • Represent Essex County EMS in regional and state-level initiatives
  • Support community outreach and public education in emergency care
  • Advocate for improved quality and delivery of care throughout Essex County
